On 14 July 1998, the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment wrote to the Chairman of the Competition Authority requesting a report outlining the Competition issues regarding Eircell locating mobile phone antennae at Garda sites/masts around the country. This report was published on 28 August, 1998.
