The Competition Authority agreed settlement terms on 11th May 2005 with the
Vintners Federation of Ireland
in the High Court action taken by the Authority. The Competition Authority initiated legal proceedings in 1998 in relation to allegations of price fixing in the sale of alcoholic drinks.
In similar proceedings settlement terms were reached with the
Licensed Vintners Association
in December 2003.
